For much of my career, I’ve been an educator—helping others, listening to their needs, and guiding them through challenges and change. Now, as I make a transition of my own from teaching into senior transition services, I’m bringing that same heart for helping people into a role that has become deeply personal to me.

My journey into this work began with my own family.

After my dad passed away two and a half years ago, my family faced the difficult task of determining what came next for my mom. I helped navigate the process of finding a place where she could feel comfortable, supported, and at home. Then, this past summer, I spearheaded the process of clearing out my parents’ home and preparing it to be sold.

Going through that experience opened my eyes to just how overwhelming this season of life can be. There are important decisions to make, countless details to manage, and a lifetime of memories tied to a home and belongings—all during what can already be an emotional time for a family.

It also showed me how valuable it can be to have someone beside you who understands the process, can help you sort through the options, and simply knows what needs to happen next.

That experience is what led me here.

As a Senior Transition Specialist, I want to be the resource I would have appreciated having when my own family was navigating these decisions. I help seniors and their families explore senior living options based on their individual needs and priorities, while also helping coordinate the many other pieces that may come with a transition—from downsizing and clearing a home to preparing for a sale and connecting families with trusted resources.

My background in education taught me that no two people—and no two families—are exactly alike. I believe in listening first, asking the right questions, explaining options clearly, and never making someone feel rushed into an important decision.

The Houston and Katy area has been home to me since 1991, and I feel fortunate to have spent more than three decades living, working, raising a family, and building relationships in this community. I’m married and the proud mom of four children, as well as a proud Aggie. My faith, family, and belief in serving others have shaped the way I approach both life and work. I strive to treat every senior and family I work with with the same care, honesty, and compassion I would want for my own.

I know firsthand that moving into the next chapter can be bittersweet. Sometimes the right next step is clear, and sometimes it takes a little help to find it. My goal is to make that journey easier, less overwhelming, and a lot less lonely.

Because sometimes you don’t need someone to make the decision for you—you just need someone you trust to help you find the path forward.
